According to a government official, the blast killed at least nine people and injured several others, who were then transported to the hospital, and authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
The attack is believed to have been carried out by the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), a group known for previous attacks on miners from other regions.
Balochistan is rich in oil and minerals and has long experienced conflict with separatist groups and armed activities targeting security forces and civilians in pursuit of independence.
