Safadi: We told Trump that Palestine belongs to Palestinians

Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stated that His Majesty King Abdullah II presented Jordan's position to US President Donald Trump regarding the pursuit of a just and comprehensive peace and the rejection of the displacement of Palestinians.

Safadi continued, "We told Trump that Palestine belongs to the Palestinians, and Jordan belongs to the Jordanians."

He added, "We have our vision, and Trump has his, but we believe it is possible to rebuild Gaza without displacing its people."

Safadi affirmed that Jordan is working on formulating an Arab plan aimed at rebuilding Gaza without forcing its residents to leave.

He added that the priority is to protect Jordan and Jordanians, which was the foundation of the discussion with President Trump.

The minister pointed out that comprehensive peace in the region can only be achieved through the implementation of the two-state solution, emphasizing that Jordan continues to support the people of Gaza by providing aid and access to medical treatment in the Kingdom.

He continued, "Arab coordination is capable of presenting an alternative plan to Trump’s and ending the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza."
