Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's corruption trial resumed on Monday following a two-week hiatus that coincided with his trip to the US, according to Anadolu Agency.

At the Tel Aviv District Court, Netanyahu addressed the judges, stating, “Politically I feel great; I was on a historical visit, and I am pretty satisfied. Medically, it was a difficult and exhausting week; I am taking antibiotics now,” as reported by "Israeli" Channel 12.

Since the trial's commencement on Dec. 10, 2024, Netanyahu appeared in court eight times. The proceedings were previously suspended in December due to his prostate removal surgery.

Netanyahu faces three distinct corruption cases filed against him in 2019, known as Case 1,000, Case 2,000, and Case 4,000. These cases involve allegations of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. He has consistently denied any wrongdoing, labeling the charges as “fake.”

As the first sitting Israeli Occupation leader to stand as a criminal defendant in the nation’s history, Netanyahu's trial began on May 24, 2020.

Under "Israeli" law, he is not obligated to resign unless convicted by the Supreme Court, a process that may extend for several months.

In addition to the corruption charges, Netanyahu is also facing allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for him and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant in November 2024 in connection with the violence in Gaza.
