Yousef bin Trad Al-Saadoun
"Relocate his beloved Israelis to Alaska" Saudi official in response to Netanyahu
Yousef bin Trad Al-Saadoun, a member of Saudi Arabia's Shura Council, sharply criticized Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's recent suggestion to create a Palestinian state within Saudi Arabia's borders, Middle East Eye reported.
In a column for the Saudi newspaper Okaz, Saadoun ridiculed the idea, stating, "If [Donald Trump] wants to be a hero of peace and achieve stability and prosperity for the Middle East, he should relocate his beloved Israelis to the state of Alaska and then to Greenland after annexing it."
The Saudi Shura Council, an advisory body appointed by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, reiterated the country’s position on the issue, emphasizing that normalization with the Israeli Occupation remains contingent on the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Saadoun expressed strong disapproval of US Middle East policies, accusing them of being reckless due to a refusal to heed expert advice and engage in meaningful dialogue. He also made clear that Saudi Arabia would not be swayed by media pressure or political tactics from Zionist forces and their allies.
“The Zionists and their allies will fail to manipulate the leadership of Saudi Arabia,” Saadoun warned, adding that the ongoing US foreign policy had long been aligned with "Israel’s" illegal occupation of Palestinian lands, which he described as “crimes against humanity.”
Aiming at the Trump administration, Saadoun criticized the US for supporting policies that enable "Israeli" territorial expansion and the displacement of Palestinians. He stated that the Zionist agenda was crafted by the Israeli Occupation and handed over to its US ally to be implemented through the White House.
Saadoun’s comments follow remarks by Netanyahu, who suggested that Saudi Arabia could host a Palestinian state, citing the Kingdom’s vast land.
Speaking to "Israel’s" Channel 14, Netanyahu said, “The Saudis can create a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia; they have a lot of land over there.”
This proposal came after Riyadh reiterated its stance that normalization of relations with the Israeli Occupation would only occur if a clear and viable pathway to Palestinian statehood was established.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry called Netanyahu’s remarks “racist and anti-peace,” and an attack on Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty.
Hussein Al-Sheikh, secretary-general of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), condemned the suggestion, affirming that “The State of Palestine will only be on the land of Palestine.”
