VIDEO: Two aircrafts collide at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
On Wednesday, a collision occurred at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in the United States, where a Japan Airlines aircraft, while landing, struck the tail of a stationary plane.
Airport authorities responded quickly to the incident, evacuating passengers from the affected aircraft, according to a statement on the airport’s official X (formerly Twitter) platform.
Samantha Moore-Facto, a spokesperson for Delta, stated that the aircraft, a Boeing 737, was parked for de-icing when its wing made contact with the tail of the Japanese plane. The Delta flight, Flight 1921, bound for Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, had 142 passengers on board, all of whom were transferred to another plane without any injuries.
This incident comes just a week after a tragic air disaster near Washington, where a passenger plane collided with a Black Hawk military helicopter, resulting in the deaths of 67 people, further raising concerns about aviation safety.
