Earlier, US President Donald Trump said he had discussed with President el-Sisi the possibility of relocating Palestinians from Gaza to "neighboring countries."
Trump explained that he proposed creating a zone where Gaza residents could live "without disruption or uprising," adding that Gaza had been a "hellhole for many years."
In response, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Sunday reaffirming its commitment to a political solution for the Palestinian cause. The ministry emphasized the need for a two-state solution and reiterated that the Palestinian issue remains central to Middle East stability, with unresolved issues exacerbating regional instability.
