Hamas' Mohammed Deif appears for first time in rare footage
Mohammed Deif, the leader of Hamas' military wing, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, made his first appearance in audio and video, alongside other senior leaders. The rare footage revealed key moments from Operation Aqsa Typhoon and its aftermath, featuring Deif, Yahya Sinwar, and an interview with a military council leader.
The video also showcased the fighters planting explosive devices for 'Israeli' military vehicles and infiltrating settlements, including the famous attack on the 'Israeli' army’s "Namer" troop carrier.
The footage was part of a report aired by Al Jazeera on the operation carried out on October 7, 2023, which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of 'Israeli' soldiers and the capture of at least 240 'Israelis'. Over 100 captives were released during a temporary ceasefire in November 2023, while many others died due to ongoing military actions.
The footage reveals insights into the planning of the attack, including 'Israeli' intelligence breaches by Hamas.
