“Israeli” army announces Gaza residents may return north next week
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced on Tuesday that residents of the Gaza Strip would be allowed to return to the northern parts of the region starting next week, provided that Hamas fully adheres to the terms of a recently reached agreement.
"If Hamas complies with all provisions of the agreement, residents of Gaza will be able to return to the northern areas starting next week, and specific directives will be issued in this regard," said an IOF spokesperson in a statement.
The spokesperson added, "Under the agreement, our forces will remain stationed in designated areas within Gaza. Residents must avoid approaching these forces, as doing so poses significant danger."
The statement also warned that movement from southern Gaza to the north, particularly toward the Netzarim corridor, remains hazardous due to ongoing military operations in the area. "We caution residents against approaching military forces, especially near the Netzarim axis," the spokesperson emphasized.
In a separate warning, the IOF advised residents in southern Gaza to avoid areas near the Rafah crossing and the Philadelphi Route, as well as any zones with a significant military presence.
Regarding the coastal region along Gaza, the military highlighted severe risks associated with fishing, swimming, and diving activities, cautioning residents to avoid entering the sea in the coming days.
The statement concluded by stressing the dangers of approaching areas near the Gaza border and the security buffer zone, urging residents to steer clear of these zones entirely.
