VIDEO: Coyote found in Chicago Aldi's aisle

Chicago Animal Care and Control captured a male coyote in the refrigerator aisle of a Humboldt Park Aldi on Monday. Video shared online showed officers carefully retrieving the animal from shelves of produce.

The coyote, uninjured, was sent to Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation for assessment and potential release back into the wild.

Officials noted coyote activity rises during mating season, and they advised residents to keep pets leashed, avoid feeding wildlife, and back away slowly if encountering a coyote.
