Safadi delivers King's message to Lebanese President

Lebanese President General Michel Aoun welcomed Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi today, Thursday.

Safadi delivered a message from King Abdullah II, reaffirming Jordan's support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, security, and stability, and inviting President Aoun to visit Jordan.

During the meeting, both sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations and regional developments. Safadi also met with Lebanese officials, including Speaker Nabih Berri, caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and Foreign Minister Abdallah Bouhabib.

Safadi emphasized Jordan's unwavering commitment to Lebanon, especially in supporting its military and contributing to its reconstruction. He reiterated Jordan’s stance on Israel, urging compliance with international agreements and calling for a peaceful resolution for Palestine.

On the situation in Gaza, Safadi welcomed the ceasefire and stressed the importance of delivering aid to the people of Gaza after over a year of suffering. Regarding Syria, he highlighted Jordan's role in supporting Syrian refugees and their voluntary return to Syria, aiming for stability and reconstruction.

Safadi’s visit underscored Jordan's commitment to Lebanon's future, with hopes for a positive and prosperous new phase for Lebanon.
