Several businesses were evacuated as police investigated a "suspicious vehicle" in the area, according to The Sun.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated, “Road closures are in effect near Regent Street and New Burlington Street as officers examine a suspicious vehicle.”
Authorities confirmed that controlled explosions were carried out as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety.
