"Israeli" analysts doubt "Israel's" ability to defeat Hamas

Reports from "Israeli" media are casting doubt on the Israeli Occupation Forces' (IOF) ability to dismantle Hamas, following the group's continued rocket fire from northern Gaza.

Amir Bar-Shalom, military correspondent for the IOF Radio, revealed that Hamas fired 20 rockets over the past 19 days, with 14 originating from northern Gaza. Bar-Shalom highlighted the evolving nature of the conflict, stating, “The Israeli army is no longer facing what was once called the Hamas army. It is now dealing with gangs and has reached a point where it cannot target every last fighter.”

Echoing these concerns, Michael Milstein, head of the Palestinian Studies Department at Tel Aviv University, described the current challenge as confronting “a second version of Hamas.”

Speaking to Channel 12, Milstein explained that the group has shifted its strategy, moving from organized battalions to smaller, decentralized militant groups. “Anyone speaking of defeating Hamas must understand they will never reach the last fighter or the last cell,” he emphasized.

Yossi Yehoshua, military affairs correspondent for Yedioth Ahronoth, also weighed in on the issue. He noted that Hamas has demonstrated remarkable resilience, maintaining its ability to recruit members and enjoying widespread support within Gaza. This, he argued, makes the task of eradicating the organization nearly impossible.
