Jordan condemns Ben-Gvir's storming of Aqsa Mosque
Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the provocative and unacceptable actions of Israeli Occupation's far-right National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, who stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif on Thursday under the protection of Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF).
In a statement, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Dr. Sufyan Qudah denounced the move as a blatant violation of the historical and legal status quo at the holy site, as well as Israeli Occupation’s obligations as the occupying power in East Jerusalem.

Qudah reiterated Jordan’s firm rejection of Israeli Occupation’s attempts to impose temporal and spatial divisions at Aqsa Mosque, stressing that 'Israel' has no sovereignty over occupied Jerusalem or its Islamic and Christian holy sites.
He called on the international community to take a clear stance, holding 'Israel' accountable for its continued violations against Jerusalem’s holy sites and for its ongoing aggression against Gaza, which has caused an unprecedented humanitarian disaster.
Qudah reaffirmed that Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif, covering its entire 144-dunum area, is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims. He emphasized that the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs is the sole legal authority responsible for managing the site and regulating entry.
