Jordanian-Syrian free zone sees 323 trucks enter Syria post-border reopening

The Director General of the Jordanian-Syrian Free Zone, Irfan Al-Khasawneh, announced the administration's readiness to extend working hours if necessary to expedite the entry of trucks into Syrian territory.

In a press statement, he affirmed that the zone is well-prepared to adapt to various circumstances and expects a significant increase in activity across industrial and commercial sectors, including car exhibitions and services.

Khasawneh noted that 323 trucks have crossed into Syria through the free zone since the reopening of the borders, highlighting the ongoing flow of Jordanian trucks carrying goods to meet the needs of our Syrian brothers, particularly food supplies, facilitated by streamlined procedures.

He further emphasized that trade operations within the free zone are conducted smoothly and swiftly, with transactions completed promptly and without delays.

He reiterated that the zone's staff is equipped to handle any increase in the volume of incoming trucks and goods, thanks to measures implemented to ensure efficient operations.
