Hezbollah's Secretary-General Naim Qassem
"Israeli Occupation’s crimes are no achievement," says Naim Qassem
In a speech on Saturday evening, Hezbollah's Secretary-General Naim Qassem stated that the Israeli Occupation's crimes are not an achievement.
"The occupation managed to assassinate Hezbollah leaders, including the martyr Hassan Nasrallah, and carried out its brutal crimes against civilians," Qassem said. "However, it failed to break the stronghold of the resistance, and what it achieved cannot be considered accomplishments."
Qassem added that the resistance prevented the occupation forces from advancing, killing and injuring hundreds of occupation soldiers.
He pointed out that the party had anticipated an attack by the Israeli Occupation at any moment but was unaware of the exact timing.
"The attack came in September, and this has nothing to do with supporting Gaza but is linked to the Israeli Occupation's expansionist agenda," Qassem noted.
He continued, emphasizing that every phase of resistance has its own methods and approaches, with the key being its continuity.
He added that defending Lebanon was necessary since the occupation's recent aggression targeted Lebanon exclusively, and "we stopped it at the borders."
Qassem added that the party is working diligently to elect a president on January 9, to set the state’s machinery in motion.
Additionally, Qassem affirmed that the Syrian people have the right to choose their government and constitution, wishing for the new ruling authority in Syria to include all parties and forces in governance.
