This decision was made following a meeting between Al-Bashir and armed opposition leaders, including Commander Ahmad Al-Sharaa.
Syrian sources revealed that Al-Bashir, who previously served as the head of the Syrian Salvation Government overseeing Idlib, has been officially assigned to lead the transitional government. This administration will manage Syria’s affairs during the post-Assad phase, following the collapse of the former president’s regime.
