The images revealed an MP violating the law by replacing the official plates with illegal plastic ones. The license plate also displayed in red Arabic writing "House of Representatives."
Critics called for stricter enforcement against such violations, urging accountability regardless of status.
A public security source confirmed that the act violates the law, adding that the Public Security Directorate (PSD) requested that Parliament’s Secretariat instruct MPs to visit the Licensing Department and obtain proper plates.
Under Article 36 of Jordan’s Traffic Law, offenders face a JD 30 fine for using non-compliant plates or placing them incorrectly.
