The Syrian Army, in coordination with Russian forces, intensified operations in response to escalating violent activity in northern Syria, targeting armed groups and their strongholds in the Aleppo, Hama, and Idlib countrysides.

A Syrian military source confirmed that army forces intercepted and downed a hostile drone launched by armed groups toward the town of Qamhana in the Hama countryside. The drone, equipped with ammunition, posed a direct threat to the area.

Joint Syrian-Russian airstrikes targeted terrorist positions, supply routes, and equipment. Military sources reported the destruction of several vehicles and weapons caches, including sites containing drones. Key towns such as Tayyibat Al-Imam, Halfaya, and Qalaat Al Madiq have been secured, with forces establishing checkpoints and stabilizing control following their recapture from armed groups.

The Syrian Army’s General Command issued a statement detailing the results of the past 24 hours:

  • Five command centers and seven ammunition depots, some housing drones, were destroyed.
  • Over 400 militants, including foreign fighters, were neutralized in concentrated strikes.
  • Forces began maneuvers on multiple fronts, aiming to encircle remaining militants, reclaim occupied areas, and strengthen defensive lines ahead of further offensives.

The statement also dismissed reports suggesting that militants had seized control of villages and towns, calling them “false propaganda” designed to boost morale among retreating fighters.

“These baseless claims are part of a misinformation campaign by terrorist groups attempting to disguise their losses as they face continuous and effective strikes,” the command emphasized.
