'Israel' launches airstrikes on Beirut suburbs
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) carried out a series of airstrikes targeting Beirut’s southern suburbs on Tuesday, after issuing warnings to evacuate buildings in Burj al-Barajneh and Hay al-Ghadeer areas.
The occupation army demanded the evacuation of specific areas outlined on maps and instructed residents to "stay at least 500 meters away from these locations."
This escalation comes as the White House announced on Monday that a ceasefire agreement in Lebanon is "close," with negotiations among the involved parties still underway.
Speaking at a press briefing, US National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said President Joe Biden has made these negotiations a top priority and is closely monitoring them. Kirby emphasized that the talks are "moving in a positive direction" but have yet to reach a final stage.
