Ben-Gvir dismisses Lebanon ceasefire as 'written on ice'
Israeli Occupation's far-right Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, stated that the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon is "an agreement written on ice," according to his expression.
The far-right minister added, "We can continue to crush it," claiming that Hezbollah "will rearm again," as he put it.
Meanwhile, the White House announced on Monday that reaching a ceasefire agreement in Lebanon is "close," as negotiations between the concerned parties continue.
In a press conference, US National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby stated that President Joe Biden prioritizes these negotiations and is closely monitoring them. He emphasized that the talks are "moving in a positive direction" but have not yet reached the final stage.
Additionally, Channel 12 reported that Israeli Occupation army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi has approved military plans to address Lebanon in case the ongoing negotiations collapse or are violated by Hezbollah. These plans include advancing six kilometers south of the border to destroy rocket launchers and projectiles.
Halevi called for any proposed agreement to include the collection of weapons south of the Litani River under the supervision of the Lebanese Army and American forces.
He added that Tel Aviv's withdrawal would depend on the seriousness of the Lebanese Army in implementing the agreement.
