StopAntisemitism, an American watchdog non-profit organization which claims to monitor and expose online antisemitism, launched its “Antisemite of the Year” competition for the year 2024, which was met with ridicule and sarcasm by the nominees on their social media platforms.

The infamous organization, which is notoriously known for targeting and doxxing groups and individuals critical of “Israel” and their ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip, nominated 10 people for the award.

The list includes Bassem Youssef, Dan Bilzerian, Hasan Piker, Cori Bush, John Cusack, Greta Thunberg, Jake Shields, Jess Natale, Jackson Hinkle and Candace Owens.

Bassem Youssef, Egyptian-American comedian and television host, took to his X account to mock the contest, saying “Please vote for me. I cannot lose this.”

“An Arab should win this…” Youssef added, jokingly saying that if Candace Owens or Dan Bilzerian wins, he will not accept the results and storm the headquarters of X.

Many other contestants also called their audience to vote for them to win.

Popular internet personality and professional poker player Dan Bilzerian said: “Guys I don’t normally ask you to do things, but this is important, plz go vote for me” while also changing his X profile bio to brandish his new title – “Nominated for antisemite of the year”.

Former UFC/MMA fighter Jake Shields also called on his 800,000 followers to vote for him, while also congratulating his fellow nominees online on getting chosen.

American political commentator Jackson Hinkle told his millions of followers that “this is the most important election of your life. Vote Hinkle!”

Palestinian American and US representative Rashida Tlaib was crowned as “Antisemite of the year 2023” for what the organization said was her antisemitic acts, such as supporting the BDS movement, replacing “Israel” with a map of Palestine in her office, voting against Iron Dome funding, calling “Israel” an apartheid state, voting against a resolution to condemn Hamas, and many other reasons.

The winner will be revealed by the Organization on January 6, 2025.
