King Abdullah II meets Saudi Crown Prince in Riyadh
On Monday, King Abdullah II met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh, on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit.
The meeting highlighted the strong ties between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, with both leaders emphasizing the need for further strengthening relations in various fields.

During the meeting, King Abdullah praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, in uniting Arab and Islamic positions, particularly regarding the Palestinian cause. The King stressed the urgency of ending the ongoing Israeli Occupation war on Gaza and Lebanon and highlighted the importance of enhancing humanitarian aid to Gaza, which is enduring a severe crisis.
The discussions also focused on the shared perspectives between the two countries on regional developments and the need for joint Arab action to restore stability in the region. Present at the meeting were Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and the King’s Office Director, Engineer Alaa Al-Bataineh.
