In statements made on day 401 of the ongoing conflict, Hamdan countered that it is the Israeli occupation that obstructs ceasefire efforts, with support from the United States.
Hamdan emphasized that Israel is committing “horrific massacres” against civilians in northern Gaza, enacting strict blockades, and preventing essential food, medicine, and aid from reaching the area—conditions that have already led to the deaths of many children due to malnutrition and lack of resources.
He noted that “Israel” is also blocking medical teams from reaching victims of strikes, a practice he described as being backed by the US and some European countries.
According to Hamdan, “Israel’s” tactics of starvation form part of an “unprecedented” strategy aimed at Gaza, calling the ongoing killings a “stain” on the international community and on those who remain silent about these human rights abuses.
Hamdan called for an immediate halt to the assault and for the opening of crossings to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza, stressing that the scale of destruction should stir the world's conscience.
He further urged the formation of an Arab-Islamic coalition to support Palestinian rights and highlighted recent pro-Palestinian events in Amsterdam as evidence that the live-streamed atrocities are awakening global awareness.
Hamdan also commended Turkey for urging the UN Security Council to take action against arms sales to “Israel” and praised Spain’s stance in blocking weapons shipments intended for “Israel”.
