“Israel” warns Iraq of potential attack: Report
“Israel” warned Iraq that it has identified targets in the country and will strike Iranian proxies if they continue to attack “Israel” from there – according to the London-based Saudi Elaph news outlet.
The Saudi website cited officials saying that satellite images revealed Iran attempting to transfer ballistic missiles to Iraq, amid reports suggesting Iran’s potential retaliation would not come directly from Iran, but from their proxies.
Earlier, “Israeli” intelligence pointed that Iran is preparing to carry out a major attack on “Israel” in the coming days, possibly before the US presidential elections – according to Axios citing two “Israeli” sources on Thursday.
Iran is expected to carry out the attack from Iraqi territory using its proxies and not directly; which could be an attempt to avoid another potential retaliatory attack by “Israel”.
The attack will be carried out from Iraq using a large number of drones and ballistic missiles – the report added.
