Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
Netanyahu celebrates 75th birthday amid war
Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to stand against international organizations, and human rights laws by maintaining his aggression and campaign of extermination against Gaza and Lebanon. But who is Netanyahu, whose hands are stained with blood?
Born on October 21, 1949, to a Polish father and an American Jewish mother named Zila Siegal, Netanyahu inherited his father's hardline Jewish beliefs and animosity toward Arabs and Muslims. He has served multiple terms as the Prime Minister of Israeli Occupation.
Netanyahu is the son of Benzion Netanyahu, a Jewish academic and professor of Ashkenazi Jewish history. The Ashkenazi Jews resided along the Rhine River in Germany and northern France during the Middle Ages and later migrated to Palestine following the Holocaust, forming the Labor Party, which dominated politics in Tel Aviv for three decades.
In 1976, Netanyahu's brother, Jonathan, was killed during an operation to free hostages from a hijacked plane in Entebbe, Uganda.
Political Career
After becoming Prime Minister in 1996, Netanyahu faced a shock from Palestinian resistance in the form of a series of suicide bombings carried out by Hamas within the occupied territories in 1948.
The Knesset voted to withdraw confidence from his government, leading to early elections, which Netanyahu lost in mid-1999 to Ehud Barak from the Labor Party. Following this, he stepped down from leadership of the Likud party, allowing Ariel Sharon to take over, and briefly retired from politics to work as a senior consultant for an 'Israeli' telecommunications company for two years.
After Sharon was elected Prime Minister in 2001, Netanyahu returned to politics, initially serving as Foreign Minister and later as Finance Minister. However, he resigned in 2005 in protest against the withdrawal from Gaza. Following Sharon's stroke and subsequent removal from leadership of the Likud party, Netanyahu reclaimed the premiership.
Netanyahu's Policies
Netanyahu has broadly adopted a policy of settlement expansion in the West Bank, approving numerous decisions for settlement construction and housing units for settlers in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
