At least 40 people were injured near Binyamina in central “Israel” after a drone strike from Lebanon – said the United Hatzala rescue service cited by Hebrew media.

Medics are currently treating the injured at the scene, with some “seriously hurt”.

Hebrew Channel 12 says many are in serious condition; ambulances and helicopters were dispatched to evacuate the wounded.

Two drones were launched towards central “Israel” – with air defenses intercepting one over the sea, with the second impacting, per Channel 12.

According to “Israeli” Army Radio, the explosion killed 3 soldiers and left 24 others injured at least, 9 of whom are in critical condition.

No alarms were triggered when the drone breached “Israeli” airspace. The “Israeli” military and Home Front Command said it will investigate the failure to activate the warning system.

The drone was reportedly launched toward Haifa under the cover of a barrage of rockets aimed at the Galilee.

Videos showed ambulances evacuating wounded and deceased soldiers from the scene.

“Israeli” journalist Amit Segal confirmed that the attack targeted a base belonging to the Golani Brigade, one of the “Israeli” military's prominent units.
