Palestinian prisoner Mohammad Moussa dies in Israeli Occupation custody at 37
Palestinian prisoner Mohammad Mounir Moussa, 37, died on Friday in Soroka Medical Center, as confirmed by the Palestinian General Authority of Civil Affairs.
Moussa, a married father of three daughters, had been detained since April 20, 2023, marking his first arrest. He was held at Ramon Prison.
Authorities stated that Moussa had no chronic health issues prior to his arrest and noted a lack of information regarding the circumstances surrounding his death. They emphasized that torture, medical negligence, and starvation have contributed significantly to the deaths of 41 prisoners and detainees since Oct. 7, 2023.
The Palestinian Prisoners' Society held the Israeli Occupation fully accountable for Moussa's death, calling on international human rights organizations to fulfill their responsibility in holding "Israeli" leaders accountable for their actions, which they claim violate human rights and dignity.
