French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday called on Lebanon’s Hezbollah to end its strikes on the Israeli Occupation, after its army said a barrage of projectiles were launched from Lebanon on Yom Kippur.

"A ceasefire must be implemented in Lebanon immediately," Macron said during a talk with Lebanon's parliament speaker Nabih Berri, adding that Hezbollah strikes must "immediately stop".

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said earlier today Hezbollah fired approximately 320 projectiles toward “Israel” on Yom Kippur, considered the most sacred holiday in Judaism.

Hebrew media reported that rocket alarm sirens were activated in over 80 towns and cities during the holiday –which takes place over two days– forcing more than a million settlers to scramble to bomb shelters.

The Israeli Occupation emergency medical service (Magen David Adom) reported that 15 people were injured as a result of the rocket fire from Lebanon during the Yom Kippur holiday.
