Shooting at "Israeli" military tech firm Elbit Systems in Sweden
The office of "Israeli" military technology firm, Elbit Systems, in Gothenburg was shot at on Thursday, though Swedish police reported no injuries, Agence France-Presse (AFP).
A police spokesperson stated, "We received a report this morning of gunfire at an Israeli company in Kalleback, Gothenburg." An investigation is underway into a suspected assassination attempt and illegal possession of weapons.
Authorities dispatched a patrol and helicopter to the scene, arresting a young suspect, reportedly a teenager under 15-years-old.
In June, an explosive device was found near the same site, prompting police to suspect Elbit may have been targeted.
"Israeli" interests faced multiple attacks in Sweden in recent months. In early October, the "Israeli" embassy in Stockholm was shot at, with several other incidents occurring near the embassy since the Israeli Occupation aggression on Gaza began over a year ago.
In February, a hand grenade was discovered near the embassy, which the Israeli Occupation ambassador described as an attempted attack. In May, gunfire outside the embassy led to increased security measures around "Israeli" properties in Sweden.
Swedish intelligence reported in late May that Iran was recruiting members of Swedish criminal gangs for "acts of violence" against "Israel", a claim Tehran denied.
