Jordan, UAE sign Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement

His Majesty King Abdullah II and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan witnessed today the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement and an agreement for cooperation in customs affairs between the two governments – per a statement by the Royal Hashemite Court (RHC).

His Majesty King Abdullah II also held discussions with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, at Basman Palace.

The King and Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II of Jordan welcomed His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, upon his arrival at Marka Airport earlier today.

The reception also included the Jordanian Prime Minister, senior civil and military officials, and the ambassadors of both nations.

Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy President of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, and several other top officials.

The visit underscores the strong bilateral ties between Jordan and the UAE, highlighting cooperation across multiple fields.
