Are you tired of having to live through major historical events every two weeks? Do you ever wish to have a crystal ball to predict crises and wars? Well, look no further – the "Pentagon Pizza Meter" theory is here.

The Pentagon Pizza Meter theory –or simply “Pizza Meter” – suggests that spikes in late-night pizza orders near key military or government offices might signal high-level meetings or impending military action.

The theory gained traction on social media after netizens observed –over time– a sudden spike in pizza deliveries and orders to the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense “The Pentagon” in the state of Virginia across from Washington D.C.

It plays off the idea that when large numbers of pizza orders are made from Pentagon offices, it may indicate that late-night war planning or strategic meetings are underway, as employees extend their working hours in exceptional circumstances.

This playful yet intriguing concept has gained traction on social media, where users have started looking at something as simple as pizza delivery as an indicator of significant developments behind closed doors.

The Pizza Meter actually had its own Wikipedia page, but was later taken down for unannounced reasons.

It was speculated that it was taken down as a matter of national security.

It started off in the first Gulf War as food deliveries spiked after 5 PM everyday, and had its peak right before the start of the campaign.

This idea also has roots in historical anecdotes. For example, prior to major military operations, reporters and analysts have noticed spikes in specific consumer behaviors, like purchases of snacks or food supplies at military bases, which sometimes hinted at imminent deployments.

The "Pizza Meter" theory is a modern take on these types of observations, reflecting how small, everyday patterns can supposedly reveal much larger happenings within the defense establishment.

Although the theory is largely speculative and not officially confirmed, it has become a popular meme among social media users, blending humor with genuine curiosity about the inner workings of high-level military activities and meetings behind closed-doors.
