The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said it is currently carrying out targeted strikes on the Lebanese capital Beirut.

The target of the “Israeli” airstrike on Beirut’s suburbs is the head of Hezbollah's drone operations, sources tell Hebrew media.

Sources close to the group also confirmed to Agence France-Presse that the strike targeted the Hezbollah commander.

He is identified as Mohammad Sarour, known as Abu Saleh, according to a source cited by Al-Arabiya.

This is the fourth such attack targeting commanders in the area in a week.

The “Israeli” Army Radio reported that the –unconfirmed– assassination was carried out by an F-35 fighter jet.

The National News Agency of Lebanon (NNA) confirmed that “Israeli” warplanes targeted an apartment with three missiles in a residential building in the Al-Qaim neighborhood, near Saint Joseph School in Beirut's southern suburb, an area bustling with apartments and pedestrians.

Rescue and emergency teams rushed to the scene.
