Lebanese Interior Minister reveals ongoing 'Israeli' spy networks

Lebanese Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi announced after a Central Security Council meeting that Lebanese security agencies have uncovered espionage networks linked to Israeli Occupation operating daily and weekly.

He emphasized that Lebanon faces serious security challenges requiring constant vigilance and readiness.

Mawlawi stated that security forces are intensively monitoring the movements of foreigners in the country to prevent any security breaches, highlighting the importance of national solidarity to protect Lebanon and maintain stability.

He noted that the security situation necessitates close monitoring of suspicious activities to avoid breaches or attacks in residential areas, especially in Beirut and the south. Mawlawi described Lebanon as being at a critical juncture that demands awareness, vigilance, and solidarity.

The Minister also mentioned intensified intelligence efforts and ground surveillance, including monitoring travelers, hotels, and Syrian and Palestinian camps to thwart any attempts to destabilize internal security amid current circumstances.

He stressed the need for security forces to facilitate rescue operations and ensure hospital safety, and indicated that open security meetings will continue to monitor developments and address any potential threats.
