Public Works Minister votes in Jordan's 20th parliamentary elections

Minister of Public Works and Housing, Maher Abu Samhan, cast his vote today at Salt Secondary School in the parliamentary elections for the 20th House of Representatives.

He highlighted the importance of this constitutional duty, which reflects Jordan’s strength and stability and provides citizens the opportunity to elect competent representatives who can effectively address their needs and aspirations.

Abu Samhan urged everyone to participate in the elections, emphasizing their positive impact on supporting King Abdullah II’s efforts in political modernization and enhancing the democratic experience while upholding constitutional institutions.

He praised the efforts of all institutions and state agencies involved in organizing and executing this crucial electoral process, particularly the Independent Election Commission and security forces.

Polling stations opened across Jordan at 7 AM on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024, with 5,115,219 eligible voters heading to the polls.
