Earlier, Independent Election Commission (IEC) spokesperson Mohammad Khair Rawashdeh announced that a legal investigation had been launched after sealed but unsigned ballots were found on a street in Ma'an. Rawashdeh described the incident as an "electoral crime."

In another issue, Rawashdeh said that the violation recorded in Irbid’s first district was a "human error," leading to eight people being referred to the public prosecutor for negligence.

On Tuesday, 5,115,219 eligible Jordanians are heading to the polls to elect the 20th House of Representatives. The elections, supervised by the IEC, involve 1,634 candidates—697 running for party lists and 937 for local districts.

The executive branch's role is limited to logistical and security support, while the IEC oversees the entire election process.

There are 172 candidate lists for local districts and 25 for party-based general districts. A total of 1,649 polling stations are set up across 18 electoral districts, in accordance with Election Law No. 4 of 2022.
