The executive branch's role is limited to providing logistical and security support, while the IEC manages and supervises the entire electoral process.
A total of 172 candidate lists are competing in local districts and 25 lists in the general (party) district.
In line with Election Law No. 4 of 2022, voting will take place at 1,649 polling and counting centers across 18 electoral districts.
Over 61 organizations, with around 700 observers, will monitor the elections, including international and local monitoring bodies.
The Public Security Directorate (PSD) implemented a comprehensive plan to secure the elections, deploying over 54,000 officers and personnel equipped with technical support.
The electoral system divides Jordan into 18 districts, with exceptions for the capital and Irbid, which have multiple districts. Additionally, seats are allocated for the Northern, Central, and Southern Badia regions, bringing the total number of seats to 138, including 41 for the national general electoral district.
