Kasab Al-Hwaiti mourns brother alleged Karameh/Allenby Crossing shooter
Kasab Al-Hwaiti mourned his brother, Maher Diab Al-Hwaitat, on Sunday, who was identified as the shooter at the Karameh/Allenby Crossing.
In a post on Facebook, Al-Hwaiti referred to his brother as a "martyr and hero," saying, "My brother, the martyr Maher Diab Hussein Al-Odat Al-Jazi Al-Hwaitat, is the one who carried out the Karameh Crossing operation."
Israeli Occupation had earlier confirmed the deaths of three individuals in the shooting at the crossing, attributing the incident to a Jordanian driver on the other side of the bridge.

In response, the Hamas movement described the shooting as a "natural response to the atrocities committed by the Zionist enemy" against Palestinians, referring specifically to forced displacement and the Judaization of Aqsa Mosque.
In a statement received by Roya, Hamas hailed the "heroic operation" as a reaction to the occupation's crimes and a testament to the Arab nation's solidarity with the Palestinian people and their resistance in the West Bank and Gaza.
The statement also emphasized that the operation, carried out by a "brave Jordanian," reaffirmed the Arab peoples' rejection of the occupation and their strong support for the Palestinian cause, particularly in defense of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
