Dr. Mohammad Al-Hawarat, Director of the Communicable Diseases Directorate at the Ministry of Health, confirmed that the ministry has the full capabilities needed to detect monkeypox within its laboratories.

In an interview with Roya, Dr. Al-Hawarat stated that there is currently no need to test incoming travelers at the airport. He emphasized that a coordinated national plan has been prepared to detect any potential cases, monitor them, and isolate them if necessary.
