Hebrew media reports “Israel” agreed to humanitarian truce in Gaza; Netanyahu’s office denies
“Israel” has agreed to a truce in Gaza for the purpose of administering polio vaccinations after pressure exerted by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during his visit to “Israel” last week – as reported by Hebrew channel 13.
The truce is strictly for polio vaccinations and is not related to the prisoner exchange negotiations; the decision was made by Netanyahu and the security establishment and the rest of the ministers were not informed – the report added.
In response, “Israeli” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said: “This is not a [complete] truce.”
The statement, cited by Hebrew Channel 13 said that certain places will be allocated in the Gaza Strip to administer the vaccines – it also added that the issue was presented to the ministers and received their full support.
According to “Israel”, the Gaza Strip is not on the brink of an epidemic and the this move comes as a preventive measure.
