Abbas rushes back to Palestine to monitor developments in West Bank

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas cut short his foreign visit and returned to Palestine on Wednesday.

Abbas cut his trip to Saudi Arabia short to monitor the latest developments amid the Israeli Occupation’s aggression in northern West Bank, according to the Palestinian news agency "WAFA."

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced early Wednesday morning the start of a large-scale military operation in the northern occupied West Bank.

According to Hebrew media, this operation is the most extensive of its kind in the region since 2002.

In a preliminary toll, at least 11 Palestinians have been martyred, and others injured due to the Israeli occupation's attacks on the West Bank.
