Updates on National Carrier Project advancements
Jordan's National Carrier Project, aimed at enhancing the country's water security and stability, has taken a significant step forward.
Muhannad Al-Mubaidin, Minister of Government Communications, emphasized on Tuesday that the project is set to provide 300 million cubic meters of desalinated water from the Red Sea via a new pipeline.
Mubaidin highlighted the project's role in bolstering Jordan’s water security.
The desalinated water will be transported through an extensive pipeline system, helping address water scarcity issues in the region.
Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh also provided an update on the project’s procurement process.
Last Sunday, the Special Procurement Committee made a key decision regarding the updated bid for the National Carrier Project.
The committee selected Meridian SUEZ as the preferred bidder after its updated proposal met all technical and financial qualifications and achieved the minimum required technical score.
Khasawneh noted that the evaluation of the updated bid followed the Cabinet's approval for the committee to proceed with its assessment.
