Army intercepts drug-laden drone

The Jordanian Southern Command successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle drugs using a drone along its western front – said a statement by the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) today.

The operation was carried out following careful monitoring and surveillance. The rules of engagement were applied, resulting in the drone being shot down inside Jordanian territory – according to the statement.

Upon inspection, it was found to be carrying narcotics. The seized materials were handed over to the relevant authorities.
