In a phone call with Roya's Extra Time program, Zaid said, "I dedicate this achievement to Jordan and the Jordan Taekwondo Federation. I also dedicate it to Captain Fares, my older brother and coach, with whom I have spent about 8 years on the team. We worked hard and made many sacrifices to reach this moment. I also dedicate this achievement to my family who supported me throughout."

Zaid reflected on the sacrifices made to achieve this success, mentioning the long periods away from home and loved ones. He said, "People don’t realize how much we sacrifice and how far we are from our families and our country. But when you have a goal, and with God's help, we achieved it. I hope the future holds even more success."

Zaid Mustafa won the silver medal in the under-68 kg taekwondo category at the Paris 2024 Olympics, losing in the final to Uzbekistan's Olegbek Rashitov.
