The US State Department stated that it has no comment on the explosion in the southern suburb of Beirut, which was reportedly carried out by the "Israeli" military on Tuesday evening.

The State Department reaffirmed its unwavering support for "Israel" and its readiness to assist as needed.

It emphasized its focus on diplomacy and its desire to avoid any escalation between "Israel" and Hezbollah.

On Tuesday evening, Roya reported an explosion in Haret Hreik in the southern suburbs of Beirut, resulting in the death of two people so far.

The Lebanese News Agency confirmed the collapse of the Al-Rabi building, which was targeted by an "Israeli" airstrike in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Reuters reported that the strike in the suburb targeted a Hezbollah leader, whose fate is currently unclear. Lebanese media revealed that an "Israeli" drone fired three missiles at a building in Haret Hreik.

The "Israeli" military confirmed that it precisely targeted in Beirut the leader responsible for the missile attack on Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights on Saturday, which resulted in the deaths of 12 settlers.

There were reports that Fouad Shukr, an advisor to Hassan Nasrallah, was targeted, although Hezbollah has not yet confirmed these reports. In contrast, "Israeli" media indicated that the assassination operation in Beirut was successful.

A senior "Israeli" official stated, "If Hezbollah does not respond to the attack, we will not be dragged into a war."

"Israeli' Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said that Hezbollah "crossed the red line" after the "Israeli" military struck in the southern suburbs of Beirut. This statement was made in a post on X shortly after the "Israeli" military announced the strike targeting a Hezbollah leader.
