"Israeli Occupation committed unprecedented war crimes in modern history," says Safadi
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stated that the Jordanian and Egyptian stances on the Palestinian issue are identical, emphasizing several points.
Safadi confirmed that both positions agreed on the necessity of ending the aggression on Gaza and the resulting humanitarian catastrophe.
He highlighted that both sides asserted that the Israeli Occupation committed unprecedented war crimes in modern history during the 278 days of aggression on Gaza.
The Jordanian and Egyptian stances revolve around the following points, according to Safadi:
- The targeting of UNRWA by the Israeli Occupation and the need to support it, as no other organization can perform its duties.
- The bombing of refugees in Khan Younis yesterday is another war crime committed by the Israeli Occupation.
- Calling on the international community to act and uphold international law, taking measures to stop the aggression.
- Emphasizing that the Israeli Occupation aims to dismantle UNRWA to eliminate the Palestinian issue and the refugee issue.
- Stating that the displacement of Palestinians is a red line for Egypt and Jordan and cannot be accepted either within or outside Palestinian territories.
- Rejecting "day after" approaches for Gaza that do not consider the strip part of the occupied Palestinian territories.
