Civil Defense extinguishes multiple fires across the Kingdom
The Civil Defense teams extinguished fires in several areas across the Kingdom. Fires broke out in Balqa, Jerash, Ajloun, and the capital, affecting dry grass, agricultural crops, and forest and fruit trees.
The firefighting teams exerted significant efforts amid high temperatures. Specialized firefighting crews dealt with incidents in various regions, with teams successfully extinguishing fires in Jerash, Ajloun, Balqa, and Amman. The fires consumed large areas of dry grass, agricultural crops, and both forest and fruit trees.
The teams faced challenges due to high temperatures and the difficulty of reaching some affected areas. Despite these obstacles, there were no casualties.
The Public Security Directorate warned against behaviors leading to such incidents, emphasizing the need to avoid lighting fires near dense grass, keeping fire sources away from children, ensuring proper extinguishment after picnics, and refraining from discarding cigarette butts in or near dry grass.
