The end of the 2023-2024 academic year will be on June 26, 2024, whereas the 2024-2025 academic year will officially begin in all schools on Sept. 1, 2024 according to the calendar released by the Ministry of Education.

The educational calendar states that teaching staff will begin their duties on August 25, 2024, and distribute textbooks to students while registering transferred students.

Furthermore, students will sit for supplementary exams in subjects they previously failed, seven days before the start of the academic year, from Aug. 25 to 29, 2024.

The calendar indicates that students' classes for the first semester will officially commence on Sunday, September 1, 2024. The Ministry stated that the total number of school days for both the first and second semesters will be 217 days, with the first semester comprising 105 days.

The General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) for the 2024 academic year will commence on Tuesday, June 25, with the final exams taking place on Monday, July 15, 2024.

The Ministry clarified that the first session of the exams will start at 10:00 AM, while the second session will begin at 1:00 PM.
