Safadi discusses Gaza ceasefire efforts with Blinken
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi received a phone call yesterday from the United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken to discuss efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire,
The call also discussed providing immediate and sufficient assistance to the Gaza Strip, and to reach an agreement on a prisoner exchange deal through mediated negotiations being conducted by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States.
During the call, Safadi reiterated the necessity of stopping the aggression against Gaza and immediately ending the humanitarian catastrophe it is causing, opening all crossings to allow aid to enter, enabling United Nations organizations to distribute it, and compelling “Israel” to respect international law and humanitarian law.
