“Israel” says it hopes Slovenia rejects recognition of Palestine

“Israeli” Foreign Minister Israel Katz said Thursday that he hoped Slovenian lawmakers will reject the recognition of a Palestinian state.

Katz said that the Slovenian Parliament saying yes to the vote next week would be a "reward" to Hamas.

"The Slovenian government's decision to recommend that the Slovenian parliament recognise a Palestinian state rewards Hamas... I hope the Slovenian parliament rejects this recommendation," Katz said on his “X” account.

The Slovenian Parliament are set to vote Tuesday on whether to recognise the State of Palestine, days after Spain, Norway and Ireland recognised it in a coordinated decision.
