Two “Israeli” soldiers neutralized in south Gaza fighting, army says
Two “Israeli” soldiers were killed during battles with the Palestinian resistance in south Gaza on Saturday – the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said in a statement today.
The slain soldiers -who both serve in the Givati’s Brigade’s reconnaissance unit- were killed in a blast from a booby-trapped tunnel shaft in southern Gaza’s Rafah, and are named as:
Staff Sergeant Nachman Meir Haim Vaknin, 20 years old, from Eilat.
Staff Sergeant Noam Bittan, 20 years old, from Yad Rambam.
Another two soldiers and an officer were injured as a result of the blast.
This brings the death toll of dead IOF soldiers since the start of the ground invasion of the Strip to 282 since Oct. 27, 2023.
